The Places ZENIT Could Go!

Dear Reader,

Blessed Teresa of Calcutta frequently said that the worst poverty is not knowing Christ, and that if we would just open our eyes and look around, we'd see that people all over the world are hungry for God.

Here at ZENIT, we seek to draw people closer to Christ through our news service on the Pope and the Church that is sent to more than 500,000 e-mail inboxes every day -- in seven different languages.

Given the enormous needs of the world, our mission to communicate the message of Christ and of his Church through ZENIT's news service may seem to be a small project, and it is. But it's a small project with great reach, and even greater potential.

Bishops, priests and other religious use ZENIT articles in their pastoral activities; catechism and religion teachers use ZENIT in their classrooms; friends and relatives send ZENIT articles to others who may have fallen away from the faith.

The possibilities are endless with regard to how far ZENIT can reach on any particular day. And imagine where ZENIT could go if our team grew!

For this reason, dear readers, we are asking your help so that ZENIT can grow and multiply our efforts to spread the news of the Church to the ends of the earth. What's more, we are asking you to become a part of ZENIT's team!

There are many ways to be a committed member of the ZENIT team; your promotion of ZENIT and your prayers are always appreciated.

Another way is to help with whatever you can in our current fund-raising campaign!

As you know, ZENIT has no other form of funding than its readers' donations. For ZENIT to be able to continue its work, this campaign needs to reach a total of $1,410,000.

For the English edition, with its 120,000 e-mail subscribers (not counting visits to its Web page), we propose a specific goal to collect $320,000.

Can we count on your support?

It is easy to send a donation to ZENIT. Just click on:

As we have mentioned, the ZENIT team is small, but with your help the mission we can carry out together can be very great!

Thank you in advance, and welcome to the ZENIT team!

Cordial greetings,

Max Viatore
